A best friend, a friend period, is an amazing thing to have. Would any of us make it through life without them? Someone to share our dreams with. Someone to vent to. Someone to sit with us, in absolute silence. Someone to laugh with, and more importantly, someone to cry with. Better yet, someone to laugh until we cry with! What is life without many of these someone's? We all have them, wether we know it or not is the question. This contest may have started out as a photo opportunity for me and Becky, simply a need for a subject to photograph, but it ended as much, much more. We had 14 pairs of best friends apply to win a day of pampering and photos. 14 pairs of girls who wanted to honor their closest friends with a special day to celebrate their friendship. The stories they told were beautiful, fun, and heartwarming. The work that they went to in order to get votes, was not only a compliment to us, but a compliment to their friendships. Only one pair won, but I think they are all incredibly blessed. For me, this contest was a chance to make a new friend. Becky and I had only met in person twice before this contest. Through the process we emailed constantly, about the contest and many other things that came up along the way. We had a fun filled evening scouting for locations (all hers by the way! Great job on that Becky!) and visiting over yummy food! We had such a fun day on the shoot with Sonya and Joelle, so much fun that we shot for 7 hours and forgot to eat! And I never forget to eat!!! So in the end, through a contest to celebrate friendship, I gained a friend. How amazing is that?!? A huge thank you to everyone who made this day so awesome! Thanks to Becky for the awesome location ideas that really helped bring our vision together, and for being so much fun to work with! Thanks to Tracy for doing a beautiful job with Sonya and Joelle's hair and make-up and enhancing their good looks! (more on that later!) Thanks to Sonya and Joelle for being such troopers! Modeling is NOT as easy as they make it look! Thanks to Ben and Jen for borrowing us the best car ever, it MADE the shoot! And thanks to Dennis the snow cone guy and any other strangers that put up with us throughout the day!

Looooove them! Kara they are so good! Love the one of Sonya sitting in the middle of the veranda at the Motel and the one of them looking at the map from above! I knew that was going to be a good one as soon as I saw you taking it!! And love how you mixed in all the details with the photos! You're so talented girl! Hopefully some of your fabulousness rubbed off on me that day!!
