I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding for a friend this past weekend in Calgary. I was away from Thursday until Monday, what a nice long weekend! Though it wasn't exactly a vacation, we did have the chance to get out to Banff for the day on Sunday. It was cold and rainy unfortunately, but I really loved driving out and just looking out the car window at the scenery! It didn't rain the whole time, we did get out of the car to look around a bit, and I did get a handful of photos. I wish I had had more energy to explore, but after a full day of shooting a wedding the day before, I really was pooped!

I have lots of great sessions to post in the near future. I feel like I am always saying that! I will definitely admit I am having trouble keeping up this summer. Being pregnant has knocked me on my behind for some much needed rest for a couple of hours nearly every day. I find myself falling asleep at my desk and know that it's time for a break! I hope to get caught up very soon, and honestly can't wait until all the work is done and I can think about decorating the nursery! I really have a one track mind these days!!!

So anyway, keep visiting and I promise one of these days you'll be surprised to see something new up here!!!

Mini Albums

June 29, 2010 // Just For FUN!!

So I ordered a couple of mini albums just because they are so darn cute I couldn't resist. I had included one in my grad contest prize, so one of them was for Carolyn and since I was ordering one anyway I decided I may as well save on shipping and order another. I made a cute little book out of some of Sonya and John's engagement photos as a wedding gift, and it's absolutely darling! These little books are 4 inches by 4 inches (or 4x8 when opened) and come in 6 different colors. Each one comes with it's own little pouch for safe keeping. Doesn't get much cuter than that!

Family Fun Night

Ashton

June 23, 2010 // Graduation

One of my favorite types of sessions to shoot is grad sessions. And my favorite part of that is being able to go out with just one person, and shoot to my hearts content. It's simple, but so much fun! I find this is when people are most comfortable, and I get so many great shots.

I could have photographed Ashton all evening. This gorgeous grad grew up in front of her mom's camera, and you can tell! The camera loves her! She made my job so easy, which always makes it that much more fun.

I can't show you Ashton's grad dress shots, since her grad is coming up this Friday and we don't want to ruin the surprise, but here are the casual shots from our evening.

On Deck

June 21, 2010 // Wedding
