Just got home from a 6 month shoot with Tessa. I'm way too excited about her sweet little face to wait til I'm done editing to blog about it! So, here's one, but don't be surprised if the rest are up by the end of the night!

Last week the weather was simply not on my side, or anyone else's for that matter! Wasn't bad enough to close schools, or businesses, but was just terrible enough that I missed out on a couple of shooting opportunities. I filled a bit of my suddenly free time with a shoot with 2 month old Alex. What a cutie!

Best Friends Photo Contest

And the announcement I have been so excited about is...

Kara, Becky and Tracy are giddy like school girls to announce our Girls are a Girls Best Friend Photo Contest!

Imagine you and your best girl getting all dolled up with Tracy and then stepping in front of the camera with Kara and Becky at four ultra cool, top secret locations for a photo shoot! We foresee lots of giggling, girl talk and good old fashioned fun during a photo shoot themed around the ultimate girls past-time.

How do you get in on your chance to win this amazing prize? Send a photo of you and your best friend along with a paragraph about what makes you such special friends to one of the email addresses below.

Contest closes April 18th and winners will be announced May 1st. The photo shoot is scheduled for Sunday May 24th, in the Winnipeg, MB area. Winners will be chosen by your votes!! All entries will be posted on www.kararheaphotography.com and www.b2photo.blogspot.com from April 18th to April 30th. Voting will begin then. You can email us your vote for who you think are the ultimate best friends!

The contest is open to all girls/women that can make it to a Winnipeg shoot on May 24th. The shoot will be an all day event!!!

Just in case it isn't obvious, I'd like to add how incredibly excited I am for this! I'm looking forward to working with my new friend Becky, who is an awesome photographer friend. We recently "found" each other and instantly connected over coffee and photo stories. I'm also excited to work with Tracy, who has been in charge of making my feet look beautiful for years, and also did my make-up for my wedding. She does such great work, and I know she's going to make our girls look fabulous!!! I know with a team like this, we are going to have not only an incredibly fun day, but awesome photos as a result!!!!

Little Jared made his grand entrance into this world over a month ago already. What a busy month it has been! We didn't have a lot of time together for his newborn shoot, so I've been trying like crazy to get some more photos of this little dude before blogging. Unfortunately, between his busy schedule and mine, it hasn't happened. However, we did get lots of great shots, so here's what we have so far!

Little Chase... and family!

SO... I've been super busy lately, trying to catch up on things and tie loose ends before heading to Cuba on Sunday. A friend today hinted that perhaps I was neglecting my audience (thanks Jen!). In order to keep you coming back, here's a quick sneak peek at today's shoot. I had a shoot with this little guy and his family for his 9 month birthday. His big sister Quinn was a big help, SO cute!
