Over the past, oh, I don't know, 6 months, I have been turning down wedding after wedding for 2011. Well, there's a reason for that!!! Those of you who know me will be thinking right now that it's because I'm pregnant... well, though I am pregnant, I still intend on working next summer. The actual reason is that I've been busy planning away with my friend Becky. We've been planning a new project, a partnership actually. Becky and I are now going to be doing weddings together. Yup, that's right! We are both so excited to work together for ALL of our weddings next year, and hopefully for the years to come!

Jayson and Stacey

April 3, 2010 // Wedding

Jayson and Stacey's wedding was my first of 2010. What a way to start off the year! I couldn't have asked for a better looking couple!! I had a fantastic day with Stacey and the girls and her family as they got ready for the big event. Stacey's parents newly renovated living room was a gorgeous place to take some pre wedding photos, I was in love with the big windows and gorgeous sunlight! For a February day we got pretty lucky with the weather and were able to take a few photos outdoors, which I love. Natural light is my best friend and it would have been a shame to be cooped up all day!!!! Big thanks to my friend Becky for helping me out with this one, a few of these images are hers. I love having a second photographer with me, it makes candid photos possible and those are always my favorite!

2010 Wedding Season Completely Booked

I'm not sure if I'm excited or sad to tell all of you awesome couples out there this news, but I am completely booked up for the 2010 wedding season! I can hardly believe it myself! With a tiny bit of room for camping (so that my own marriage lasts another wedding season), my weekends are filled.

Thanks to all the early birds out there that have booked me, and to those of you who even considered booking me. I'm so sorry I can't take you all, but I try to keep my wedding numbers down to ensure my clients the best possible photographer I can be! Nobody wants me showing up tired for their wedding day!

I still have lots of room for grad, maternity, and family portraits, just send an email my way!

Thanks again, I can't wait to start sharing these 2010 weddings with you all.

Walter and Terri

January 21, 2010 // Wedding

Life is made up of milestones. We are born, we have our first birthday, we turn five and begin school, we start junior high, high school, we graduate, we go on to college, get our first job, MEET THE ONE!!!, marry "the one", buy our first house.... not always in that order. Then there's life in between the milestones. Real day to day life. The stuff that happens while we're planning everything else. When we finally do meet "the one", we know if they are right for us based on the every day, boring, routine type things. Great if my husband can bring me flowers on valentine's day, but will he fill the gas tank when it's nearly empty? Fabulous if with those flowers he brings chocolate, but even better if when he fills the gas tank he washes the windshield... maybe even the entire car.

Life in between the milestones is 95% of the journey.

At the end of November I photographed Terri and Walter's wedding. It was a gorgeous day... for November. They toughed out the chilly weather like the troopers they are, and we got some beautiful images to show for it.

Terri and Walter may be young, but they've been together long enough to truly, truly know one another. I believe 100% that they are going to make it, from one milestone to the next and through everything in between.

Marcy found this great location for us to take photos of Terri's dress. Love it!

Terri and Walter chose to do photos before the ceremony, which I love! When couples choose to do this, we make sure to have a special moment, just the two of them (and my camera) when they see each other for the first time. It's usually pretty emotional, and I love it! These images speak to how in love Terri and Walter are...

the girls came dressed for the weather, in leg warmers and tights! So cute!

The following image is in my top 10 for sure...

If I had to pick a favorite, this one below might be it. Or the one above. Or the one below the one below. Well... who says I have to pick?!!!

Chris & Tania - Married!

December 15, 2009 // Wedding

I dated my fair share of Mr. Wrongs before I met my Mr. Right. They were all different, but all the same in that they were not the right fit for me. It always took me a while to figure that part out too, but then I would see men who looked at their girlfriends or wives like they were the only girl in the room... and I knew I wanted more. It didn't matter how many car doors were opened for me, how many times I was picked up from work, or surprised with flowers, nobody was good enough. Why? Because nobody looked at me like THAT.

That's how Chris looks at Tania, like he can't figure out how he got so lucky, like she's the only woman in the world and she just so happens to have chosen him. Every woman deserves a man that looks at her like that. Even better... she looks at him that way too!

My friend Anna Borys came along to second shoot for me again, and I'm also in love with this image she captured. I love how it accepted my yellow tone as if it were meant to be!

I love having a second shooter with me. It allows for more variety in the final images. While I was shooting a couple quick photos of Chris...
