You would think it would be easier to write about people I know, but instead I am finding it more difficult.  How do even begin to paint a picture of this beautiful couple?  How do I even attempt to do them justice???

I have met Tara in person only a few times, but she feels like an old friend.  She is one of those people that just makes you feel so comfortable, so at home, and so special.  Matt is much the same.  They have been good friends to my husband for years, and I am so privileged to have met them.  Tara and I have become friends mostly thanks to facebook.  Sure, we all have a love/hate relationship with facebook, but you have to admit it does bring long lost friends back into our lives, keeps us close with friends and family far away, and now it has given me a new friend in Tara.

Tara and Matt's wedding day was absolutely perfect.  I met she and her sister Andrea at the salon in the morning, after which we picked up some gourmet mac and cheese to munch on while the girls got ready.  It was a leisurely morning, no stress, no worries, just fun!  I loved every second of it.  Matt and Tara chose to do photos before the ceremony, which I love, and I absolutely loved their first look at each other that day.  It was so very special.  There isn't a doubt in my mind that these two are totally, hopelessly, in love with each other!!  At the ceremony close family and friends watched as Matt and Tara vowed to love one another, and even I teared up as the officiant asked them to join hands and spoke of all the things these hands would be.  I don't know if this is the exact passage, but it went something like this:

These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever. These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other. These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind. These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and tears of joy. These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children. These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one. These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it. And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

I tear up reading this even now!  Matt and Tara, your wedding was absolutely beautiful, just like the two of you.  I wish you so much happiness, and can't wait to spend more time with you guys over the years.

Here are the photos from their very special day.  For more, click HERE for their slideshow.

After dinner the light was so beautiful, and the view absolutely stunning, there was no way I could have lived with myself if I didn't at least TRY to convince Matt and Tara to venture into the field next door for a few gorgeous sun set photos!!!  I'm so glad they agreed, it was so very worth it!

Sean and Melissa... what can I say about these two!?  It's not very often I have a bride that's ready LONG before the groom arrives!  Melissa runs a tight ship.  She was even in her wedding dress before I arrived, I got there just in time for a few photos of her Mom helping to zip it up.  As we waited for Sean she was so happy and excited, it was incredibly sweet.  And as she dared to peek out the living room window who happened to drive by and nearly see her?  Yes, of course, it was Sean... I've never seen a bride hit the deck like that, and I'm sure nobody else could have done it so fast!  It was probably the highlight of the day for me.. hilarious!

I was so happy these two chose to see each other before the wedding.  It was such a tender moment when Melissa walked up and tapped Sean on the shoulder.  I don't think there was a dry eye to be found.  I love how Melissa's mom is way in the background of those photos, spying on these two as they share their big moment.

Sean and Melissa's wedding was a perfect day.  Perfect despite the clouds threatening rain all afternoon.  Perfect though they had to make the decision to move their outdoor ceremony indoors.  It was perfect because these two are so very perfect for each other.

I arrived at Angie and Brian's home just as Angie was about to open a gift from her groom.  I love a wedding day that starts with a tear or two!  True, not everyone cries at weddings, not even their own, and that doesn't make it any less special, but I am truly a sucker for happy tears!  They make my eyes well up behind my camera and I love, love, LOVE to feel all those emotions!

Angie and Brian's wedding was beautiful from start to finish.  The morning with the girls was fun and relaxed, the ceremony was simple and beautiful, and the time I got to spend with these two and their friends and family during our photo session was truly special.  It was a gorgeous day, and everyone was so happy to be celebrating with these two wonderful people.

A huge thank you to both Brian and Angie for putting total trust in me.  I do my best work when my couples just let me do my thing.  I so appreciate people that have looked over my photos and have booked me for what I can do, so thanks!

Here's a few of the stunning couple.  For a few more, click HERE for the slideshow.

Well folks, turns out it can't be sunny every Saturday of summer.  That's just the way it goes.  I hope and pray every night before a wedding that I will get a beautiful day, and more importantly that the couple will get a beautiful day for their wedding.  Turns out not every prayer can be answered.  I think God has a way of knowing who can handle it.

The morning of Wayne and Carilee's wedding it was already misty outside.  I met the girls at the salon around noon and it looked like it could go either way.  Carilee was positive, and didn't seem the least bit stressed.  The day continued on, and so did the rain.  When it was time to meet her groom, Carilee opted to go with the original plan, meeting Wayne down a pretty little path amongst the trees.  There she stood, a blanket under her feet so her dress wouldn't get muddy and an umbrella in hand.  She waited patiently, the mist just light enough that I could still shoot, and heavy enough that I needed a plastic bag to cover my camera.  When Wayne came around the bend, you could tell the last thing either of them was thinking about was the rain!

Our day wasn't without improvisation, since the rain came down heavier at times.  I want to give a HUGE thank you to the folks at Hillside Greenhouse of Morden for allowing us free reign of their building for a little while!  We were able to get some gorgeous shots despite the weather thanks to them!!  We used one other covered location and ventured out into the mist a couple times throughout the day to complete our photo session.  Over all, I think it was a huge success!

Thanks Wayne and Carilee for being such good sports.  Rain isn't something anyone wishes for on their wedding day, but I loved how you didn't let it get you down for a second.  This day was about your union, and nothing was going to ruin that!!!

Oh, and a special thanks to Tide to go!  We could make a commercial based on Carilee's muddy, flower dyed dress and how Tide saved the day!!!!
